MDNA Tour – Meet the Band!

We are almost 1 month away from the opening night of Madonna’s 2012 MDNA World Tour and the rehearsals in New York City are becoming more and more intense! As you know Madonna is one of the best (if not “THE Best”) live performers on earth – and this is not random. She is the best because she has the best team. Let’s get to meet the band – aka Madge-icians!

Kevin Antunes – Music Director/Keyboards

Kevin has worked as the MD of many many artists & bands such as The New Kids On The Block, Marky, Britney Spears, Nsync, Justin Timberlake and more recently on Michael Jackson’s Immortal Tour with Cirque du Soleil. Kevin was Madonna’s MD for the Sticky & Sweet Tour and at the Super Bowl Halftime.

Monte Pittman – Guitar

Monte Pittman and his Jarrell MPS

Monte is already a tour veteran as this will be his 5th World Tour with Madonna! His credits are endless but he is mostly associated with the industrial metal band Prong and more recently being the Music Director and guitar player for Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour. Monte has also a solo album out, “Pain, Love & Destiny” which debuted in the Top 200 albums on iTunes, being the only independent album in that list!

This year he won the “Best Solo Artist” at Artists in Music Awards and Jarrell Guitars produced the Monte Pittman Signature (MPS) guitar models. Get ready for the Montster! Make sure to check out his Official Site – for more info and follow him on twitter @Monterrific!

Brian Frasier-Moore – Drums

Brian Frasier-Moore and his custom DrumCraft kit

“When Brian plays drums, you pay attention”, that’s what Madonna said and believe us, she is telling the truth! Brian has played for a plethora of artists, including Christina Aguilera, Timbaland, Aaliyah, Usher, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Toni Braxton, Babyface and more recently in Janet Jackson’s “Number Ones” Tour.

For this tour, Brian got a brand new drum kit by DrumCraft which was one of the highlights of this year’s NAMM in Anaheim. (and we are pretty sure that he has 1 extra arm & leg hidden somewhere!!) Check out BFM on Facebook and on Twitter @BrianFrasierM

Ric’key Pageot – Keyboards

Ric'key Pageot

Ric’key not only played keys for the Sticky & Sweet Tour, but also accordion and piano. He has also performed with Diana Ross, Lalah Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson and Cirque Du Soleil. Most recently, he’s been producing Dessy Di Lauro‘s ragtime tunes and they won the Media Award for Best R&B/Soul Song of 2010.  Definitely keep an eye on them for more hep hep tunes! More info at . Nicki Richards – Backing Vocals

Super talented-super gorgeous: Nicki Richards

When Madonna wants super awesome vocals she can count on Nicki Richards! This will be the 3rd Madonna World Tour for Nicki, whose velvet and yet powerful vocals will once again give us chills (remember Like A Prayer?). The gorgeous and super talented Nicki has worked with Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz, Anastacia, Bette Midler and even trumpet legend Chris Botti and so many more.

Nicki, who is also a member of the Grammys, has released 2 solo albums (“Naked” and “Nicki”) and we hear that she is about to release her 3rd solo album soon! Make sure to follow her on twitter @nickirichards for updates!

Kiley Dean – Backing Vocals

Miss Fabulous Kiley Dean

Last but not least, Kiley made great impressions in the recent New Kids on the Block Tour and we know that this will be the case in this tour as well! She also worked with Matthew Morrison and is associated with R&B superstar producer Timbaland. Kiley has her solo project as well, make sure to go on her Facebook page and request for more songs because she IS a big deal! ;)

So get ready for one of the best live shows you’ll ever see – and make sure to give extra love to Nicki, Kiley, Kevin, Monte, Brian and Ric’key!!
