It looks like our Guitar Hero, Monte Pittman, has a moment on his own with Madonna and a violin player (perhaps for “Falling Free”?) and this time he has his Black & White Orange Amps with him!

Monte Pittman played an intimate acoustic gig at the Living Room in New York last night and he rocked it -as per usual! Max Whipple played bass and Johnny Kelly was on percussion. Monte played with his brand new Bourgeois acoustic guitar, which he picked it at this year’s NAMM.

We are almost 1 month away from the opening night of Madonna’s 2012 MDNA World Tour and the rehearsals in New York City are becoming more and more intense! As you know Madonna is one of the best (if not “THE Best”) live performers on earth – and this is not random. She is the best because she has the best team. Kevin has worked as the MD of many many artists & bands such as The New Kids On The Block, Marky, Britney Spears, Nsync, Justin Timberlake and more recently on Michael Jackson’s Immortal Tour with Cirque du Soleil. Kevin was Madonna’s MD for the Sticky & Sweet Tour and at the Super Bowl Halftime.
Monte Pittman is taking a small break from his rehearsals with Madonna and will be playing at The Living Room in NYC on Sunday April 29th @ 10pm! Monte will play an acoustic gig, so make sure to check him out! Get your tickets HERE!

CL: So which do you find most artistically fulfilling…working in tandem with another artist, or solo expression?
MP: I really like doing my own thing. It’s taken a really long time to get to this point. I love playing with Madonna too. I say it’s the best job in the world. I get the best of all worlds balancing it all out together. I’ve been doing this professionally for 12 years now and I feel like I’m just getting started. It’s like the previous was school and now it’s time to go to work.

We’ve all seen Madonna playing guitar at her shows, but with the release of her album MDNA we learn that Madonna played guitar in the studio for one of her new songs “Falling Free”! This is the 1st time that M recorded a song with herself being the studio guitarist! In 2008 with the release of “Hard Candy” she mentioned that she’s quite good in playing guitar at live shows, but being a studio guitarist is a different story, since you have to be really precise.

It seems that Monte Pittman has helped Madonna step up in a whole new level of guitar playing! We obviously can’t wait to see them together rocking out in the 2012 World Tour!!
